- Yes, I it works fine. The only Problem is, that Gemini does not know about
- starting TTPs as parallel processes. So, if a TTP runns, the Desktop sleeps, as
- known from Gemini + TOS. Starting a TTP as background process (with "bg") is
- of course possible, but this causes other problems: The build-in Mupfel-Shell
- occupies the console-window and you can not stop it because otherwise the whole
- Desktop is stopped again. So background process and Mupfel output will be mixed
- on the Screen.
- Another problem: The Gemini console-window output-routines are not fully
- multitasking proof. They seem to assume to work in the top-window. This
- may mess up your sceen, if a background process writes to the partly covered
- console.
- Of cause you may use BG.ACC to work with a number of parallel processes, but
- them you will not be able to use all of the benefits of Gemini. But I heard
- rumours, that there will be a new fully-mint-aware version of Gemini in the
- near future. In addition I am working on a Gemini-aware xterm clone-DA
- that will also solve the problems mentioned above. I will be free and I will
- anounce it as soon as it is ready.
