- So in all of this discussion..no one has seem to come up with a
- solution. It is apparent that we have a computer that is useless
- wtihout software. Point: You can't buy the software!
- So, what do we do?
- In the very least, the Atari Corp. has an implied warranty with it's
- consumers, namely that it's computers would be suitable for the
- purposes for which it was advertised..
- It is not! Therefore, I suggest the following:
-
- 1.) The Atari corp must take the lead in this matter..releasing all
- 8bit software that is under their control to the public domain, perhaps
- establishing a BBS for user access..ideally both the sofware and the
- Source Codes..This seems only fair, since 8-bit users have indeed
- spent considerable sums which have directly benefited the Atari Corp.
-
- 2.) If not, then any person who buys an Atari product is CRAZY !
- Sorry to say, but ST users are setting thmselves up for the same fall that we have taken. There is NO WAY
- that I will invest my money in an Atari product until I see some
- change in the way this corp treats it's customers. I think that anyone
- who feels the same way should let these people know about it.
-
-
- Why take this crap? We are the customers, so we are right.
-
- What do you say..BOYCOTT ATARI and let them know about it!
-
- Hope this loosens up some of those tight assed execs..
