  12. Hi all! The past week my 8-bit setup has been acting up. The
  13. modem dials out and connects fine, but after receiving a few
  14. lines of text, it just drops carrier. This happens until
  15. everything has been turned on for about 10 minutes; then
  16. the problem goes away and it works fine. My setup includes
  17. an 800xl, PR Connection and SX212 modem. I find it most
  18. likely that the modem is at fault, and I don't really care
  19. about having to replace it...but I just wanted to check here
  20. real quick and see if anybody thinks it might be the 800xl
  21. or the PR that is at fault, or if anybody has experienced the
  22. same thing on their system. Thanks in advance for any input.
