- RE: RAM Expansion for the IIGS
-
- I'm just starting to recuperate from a couple of sleepless nights at
- KansasFest, but the first note I saw after logging back on to c.s.a2 was
- about RAM for the IIGS, so I wanted to respond.
-
- I picked up a 4 meg GS-RAM card at Kfest for only $129. It's from Sequential
- Systems, a new company that was started by a person formally associated with
- Chinook. It uses a type of RAM chip designed by Mitsubishi but that never
- caught on in the IBM or Mac world. I think it's called a ZIP RAM chip. In
- any case, I've had it plugged in for a couple of days, and it appears to be
- working great.
-
- After the Apple Expo Central show, I think the price was going to climb to
- the 'street price' of about $150, still a good bargain. Highly recommended!
