  30. Did they ever fix the problem that prevented you from putting any Mac stuff
  31. on the hard drive?  I know with the original Amaxs, you were stuck with just 
  32. floppies.

  38. That this a matter of opinion.  Benchmarch results Please.  I think you will
  39. find that their are compatibility problems with Amax, and that is is much
  40. slower than a similar Mac Just becasue of the translation work needed to make
  41. the Mac software work on the amiga.  I am not saying the Amiga is a bad
  42. machine, however, to buy one just to use it as a Mac  is not smart.  For Amax
  43. you still need to get the Mac Roms wich is getting harder to do (You did plan
  44. to do this legaly right?).

  50. The Unix operating system is *NOT* in ROM on the Amiga.  the entire OS would
  51. not fit unless you had several Megabytes of ROM.  Part of the Kernal might be
  52. in ROM, but not the entire OS.

  59. in price, the 3000 might just get discontinued.
