- SoundSmith v1.0 did support Midi Input. The interface was crude but usable.
- SoundSmith v1.0 will not ever see the official light of day, because some
- beta-tester for SevenHills Software released it on a pirate board, which
- pissed off the author, who then stopped all further work on the project
-
- THIS IS THE DAMAGED CAUSED BY PIRACY! The rest of the story is this,
- SevenHills was mainly interested in a complete overhaul of the program so as
- to give the Midi part a decent interface, the author was willing to do this,
- until the piracy business came out. SevenHills was pissed, the author was
- pissed, and the rest of the GS community should be pissed.
-
- Yes, I'm a SevenHills beta tester and I'm pissed. SevenHills beta-testing
- procedure is more security conscious now (and less people too). I don't know
- who the irresponsible beta-testers were, nor if they were caught.
