- Look into getting a Novation Apple Cat modem. I see them for sale

- To get a 1200 baud modem (uggh), it's actually a *two* card unit.
- So I'm hypothesizing that the main unit is basically just a serial card. If
- you could get the pinouts on the connector, I presume you could build a
- 9600 or faster modem to connect to it (or possibly connect an external
- modem to it?? doubtful)

- tone generation/recognition and speech synthesis. There is a wonderful demo
- disk that comes with it that does a lot of different sound effects (the
- only one that comes to mind is the British phone ringing)
