- I love it when people state things "matter of fact" manner and not know
- what in the world they are talking about.

- The A600 has a scsi.device driver in the *ROM*. This device is actually
- the code that controls the IDE disk controller on the motherboard. The
- reason the name is scsi.device is because there are a number of tools that
- know of the scsi.device and how to deal with it. The reason this works
- is because Randell did some really nice code that interprets the SCSI
- commands and does the right IDE operations.

- The is no ide.device that is copied to RAM and renamed. It does not do
- any redirection of any command flow.
