- Double speed? eek! I would hope for a factor of between 4x and 8x.
- You get 2x speedup for doubling bus width, say 1.5x for page mode access
- and say another factor of 2 or so for using faster ram. Also I hope
- they add proper support for drawing polygons... With the current
- chip set... the simple way of drawing polygons using the clear bit map,
- render lines into it, and then fill & copy to destination - is slower than
- using smart cpu code...
- Also a blitter queing processor would be *much* appreciated... so
- we dont have to use busy blitter waiting or interupts - which are too costly
- on cisc processors such as the 680x0.
