- I have 2 Q40S hard drives on my system. I went on vacation and when
- I came back, one seemed to be acting up. I did a little experimenting
- and found that I cannot write to the drive. The system validates it
- and most of the time I can read the data(occational checksum errors).
-
- I tried to re-format the drive and while the format appeared suscessful
- it did not change the disk! HDtoolbox when asked to verify the disk
- will flash up the window and return almost immediately saying it verifyied
- and is ok. The other drive takes about a minute and a half to verify.
-
- I even tried a different cable on the hard drive. This drive was working
- fine for many months now. Does anyone have any ideas?
