- Yes, this is a "please help" problem.. :) I've been using a IVS
- TrumpCard w/ WB1.3 and TCUtils 1.3G for a couple of years without trouble.
- About 2 months ago I upgraded to 2.04 and TCUtils 2, and since I've been
- getting rare but annoying read errors on my hard disk... They didn't seem
- to occur until I formatted the disk under 2.04's new FFS and used TCUtils to
- do it (That is, it worked fine under 2.04 until I changed something by
- reformatting it) I have two suspicions but don't know for sure what the
- problem is...First..the max transfer default rate under TCUtils 2 is different
- than that with TCUtils 1.3 (In fact its about twice as high..Could this be
- wrong and cause the errors?) or, I've heard of lots of people getting
- read/write errors on floppies under 2.04, I havent had this trouble but
- most of my floppies are still in old file system, so is it the new file system
- that doesnt work quite right under 2.04 with older systems such as A500s?
- The write/read errors are not really there, it seems, as retry'ing usually
- works and they pop up unpredictably....Can anyone offer a suggestion as to
- what the problem is and how I can fix it?

- Please email to gfm@gnu.ai.mit.edu if you can help...
