  18. I think 88 Mb is the unformatted (raw) capacity. That is usually what the drive
  19. manufacturers advertise. (My Quantum 105 formats to 100 Mb and The SyQuest 44 Mb
  20. drive I have formats cartridges to 42 Mb.) Formatted capacity varies somewhat
  21. from computer to computer.
