- I have a C1084S and currently have my Amiga and Genesis sharing the RGB
- mode - which is wearing out the connector on the back of the monitor - and my
- SNES hooked up to the composite input. I am about to upgrade to an RGB cable
- for my SNES, but this is going to mean more wear and tear on the RGB connector
- on my monitor.
- I buy custom cables from Redmond to hook up my game consoles to the
- monitor, and I even had a switchbox from Redmond so that I wouldn't have to
- keep plugging and unplugging things to switch back and forth between my
- Amiga and Genesis. However, running the output from my Amiga through the
- switchbox caused interference on the screen (even after trading in the
- switchbox for another and having all the custom cables redone). Also, this
- switchbox required custom cables from the Amiga and console as well as from
- the switchbox to the monitor, since the connectors on the switchbox were
- not the same as that on the back of my C1084S.
- What I would like is a switchbox that will accept the cables I already
- have (i.e. one where the connectors to receive RGB input from various devices
- are the same as that on the back of my monitor) and won't degrade the output
- from any of the devices that I pass through. It should be able to control
- at least four inputs [in case I get another console ;) ].
- Does anyone know where I could get such a device and approximately how
- much it would cost? Remember that I have already tried Redmond. Please send
- any suggestions to me by email, and I will post any helpful results.
- Thanks!
