  13. I do NOT work for or know anyone at Portal personally.  I am only a happy
  14. customer who feels like he knows two of the best kept secrets.
  15. 1. The Amiga is a great system   and 
  16. 2. Portal is the best value for any Amiga user, period.

  27. Portal now has, or will within days, have an automated downloader, mail
  28. reader/writer that works for both local Portal mail AND usenet mail (I'm
  29. using it now).  You can use your own favorite editor to write messages (I'm
  30. using CEDPro)!  Known as PortalX, it was written by Steve Tibett (of VirusX,
  31. ScreenX, etc.) and is available from and supported by Portal.  It is fully
  32. intuitionized as well as full keyboard support and works well with 2.0 and
  33. 2.1.

  42. I use PCPursuit at $30 for 30 hours of monthly connect time to Portal, no
  43. additional comm charges.  There is also a 60 hour at $50.  (This is at
  44. 9600bps in Chicago, no extra charge.)  Otherwise it would be about $5 an
  45. hour for connect per hour after 6pm.  Much less than the CIS charge without
  46. those "few extra dollars."  Still, I would also like to see more telenet
  47. nodes in place.  This would be nice for folks out in the sticks.  Also, you
  48. can use Tymnet as well.

  50. Check out Portal, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.  Remember also that
  51. the famous PeopleLink SIG moved lock stock and barrel to Portal.
