- Thanks for all the posts about AmigaNOS (SLIP). I had asked with the
- following scenario in mind. A friend of mine is going to network (if
- he can) six A500's to his A3000 at his 5th grade class for use in
- improving Math & English skills as well as for programming and Art/
- animation. He is of course on a limited budget so ethernet
- connections were not an option. I had immediately thought about
- parnet, but then I don't know of any 5-port paarrell cards for amiga.
- Slip seems to be the best option then and so I was wondering if anyone
- with Serial cards could give us suggestion. Again price is very
- important. I'm guessing the most serial ports on a card I'm going to
- find is two, but if there were 4 or 5 port cards that would be great.
- Again anyone's responnses are very appreciated, especially if you've had
- some personal experience you could relate.
-
- BTW, isn't it too bad C= management doesn't value networking and gave
- money and manpower to an inexpensive networking option for all Amiga
- owners. Look how valuable Appletalk has been for eeck...Apple... -);
