- AAAaaack! You mean TWO power cords for the damn computer?
- No, don't mess up the physical form that way.
- Don't splice into an external power cord, either.
- Connect the fan wires to the on-off switch terminals,
- then reattach the connectors to the power supply.
- You may not even have to solder it (I didn't).
- This way, you turn the computer off, the fan goes off.
- And the power cord still works the same.
