- Agreed, thus I don't think having font manipulation in the binary is
- going to win unless it is quite sophisticated. (Either completely
- configurable via Yet Another Config File, or exhaustively testing
- attributes of the server in xim.)

- The problem is that this only works when the formats don't conflict....
- Ie here at CMU I sometimes run MIT R5, sometimes DEC R4, in this
- particular case I can get away with using the MIT fonts, but what if the
- MIT fonts didn't work with DEC and vice-versa, adding both font dirs
- doesn't help if the wrong one is first... (and if the server isn't smart
- enough to skip it.)
