  13. I've always wondered whether there was any reason *to* install OW fonts
  14. in a separate directory.  Keeping separate font directories means you
  15. somehow need to make ATK recognize multiple font paths in order to run
  16. in a mixed environment of MIT/MOTIF and OW users.  Its much simpler to
  17. lump all fonts into a single directory, letting the respective font
  18. extensions distinguish OW, BDF, and MIT/MOTIF fonts.

  20. But then the name "X11fonts" becomes a misnomer--oh well, better poorly
  21. named than disfunctional.
