  12. I posted a request recently, and later realized there were probably a bunch
  13. of angry people with bounced e-mail, trying to answer my question. Oops, I
  14. misspelled my e-mail address! What a dunderhead! Sorry.

  16. I did get two responses, but not what I was looking for. Source code does
  17. me no good right now. We don't have the time to deal with it. I'm looking
  18. for applications, whether freeware, shareware, buyware, makes no
  19. difference.

  21. To reiterate: "Does anyone know of a multi-platform encryption package(s),
  22. for Mac, PC, and UNIX, that have user definable keys? We would like to post
  23. files to public
  24. servers, for retrieval by our clients, without the risk of their being
  25. decyphered. Recommendations appreciated."

  27. Multi-platform was a bad choice of words. What we need are individual
  28. packages that will run on Mac, PC, and UNIX, and function compatibly. DES
  29. encryption would be fine, preferably with X.913 user definable or
  30. psuedo-random keys. The requirement needs to support both ASCII and binary
  31. files.
