- I would like to tap the vast source of knowledge, experience, and
- expertise on the net for suggestions and comments on the best way to
- implement the following project...
-
- Carnegie Mellon University is in the process of putting together an
- undergraduate / graduate student robotics lab. It's purpose is to
- provide the space and equipment for students to perform excersizes,
- experiments, and assignments that will illustrate and reinforce concepts
- learned in the classroom.
-
- Areas of study will include control, manipulation, vision, AI,
- perception, and mobile robots.
-
- In specific, I would like to hear about ...
- 1. Descriptions of facilities
- 2. Equipment recomendations
- 3. Sources for equipment
- 4. Overview or syllabus of the academic courses taught in the Lab
- 5. Recommended assignments and experiments for those courses
- 6. Anything else I should consider
- 7. Anything I should avoid
-
- Does anyone operate or use such a facility? How is it used? What
- courses are taught there? Are there any particular assignments and lab
- excersizes that you can suggest?
-
- I appreciate ANY and ALL suggestions and information.
-
- Thanks!
