-
- The IP tunnels that the Cayman GatorBox uses use UDP port 910 for
- communication. The FastPath does not.
-
- There is no industry standard specifying which UDP port to use. I can,
- however provide the following chart:
-
-
- Uses port 910 Doesn't use port 910
- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
-
- Cayman GatorBox Shiva FastPath 4
- Cayman GatorBox CS
- Cayman GatorBox GX
-
- Compatible Systems EtherRoute
-
- Farallon StarRouter (not yet shipping)
-
- NetMinder EtherTalk from Neon
- (decodes port 910 tunnels)
-
- So, while there is no right or wrong way to do this, it sure seems
- like a "de-facto" standard has been chosen for AppleTalk-in-IP
- tunneling.
