  13. I agree that Aufs should be patched to convert CR's in all Mac 
  14. TEXT files when dragged to Aufs volume (possibly barring some 
  15. .GIF/.tiff/.other suffixed files, which my feeling is should
  16. not be typed as TEXT in the first place, but as BINA or something
  17. else).

  19. But a more subtle problem that I hope someone else has noticed
  20. is that you cannot save TEXT type files from a Mac application
  21. onto an Aufs volume and have the CR's converted.  I would very
  22. much like to see this.  We have many avid mac users who must also
  23. use Unix computers to do data analysis.  This data analysis involves
  24. editing TEXT type files that reside on the Unix computer.  It
  25. is most convenient to do this with a Mac text editor (or word processor
  26. if we remember to save as text).  But in this case, my naive users
  27. must learn the tricky extra steps of saving the Unix data file to a Mac
  28. disk first, then drag that file to the Aufs volume, for the CR->LF
  29. conversion to work.

  31. Is it possible to do this conversion when saving directly from
  32. Mac application to Aufs disk?  I looked at the code several 
  33. patches back and couldn't find anyway to do this.
