- Tim, I also get these sorts of problems occassionally, usually when I have not
- shut the system down properly. To get past it I do the following

- 1. Boot the machine
- 2. Eventually the system will load the display driver - screen goes white or
- some colour you have chosen
- 3. Clock pointer appears
- 4. Arrowhead pointer appears

- As soon as the arrow appears, press and hold down, LeftShift+LeftCtrl+F1 until
- the WPS windows start to appear.

- If at any time whilst holding the keys down, the hard disk activity permanently
- stops then release the keys and immediately hold them down again.
