- EZTape/PM has several SERIOUS problems under 2.0 that render it
- unusable IMO (for example you can save AND verify a file, but still
- find that it can't be restored if you need it back later.)
-
- They have been promising a new release that works for 2.0 ever since
- about February. The latest word on Compuserve is that the new release
- is ready "all but the paperwork". I'll beleive it when I hear that
- somebody actually has a copy that works.

-
- I think this is the one that runs off the floppy disk controller.
- That sounds like the right price.
- Note that Irwin "cheat" on their figures. They quote the "average"
- amount you get with compression. That 250MB Accutrak actually uses
- 120MB tapes.
-
- I have the Accutrak 120 (60MB tape). It works, the EZtape/PM is well
- designed and easy to use. But I have real misgivings about the product
- line given the poor support record since Irwin were taken over by
- Archive.
-
- By the way, the message about this on Compuserve said that the upgrade
- to EZTape PM from EZtape DOS will be $99. The upgrade for existing
- EZTape PM users
- to the new EZTape PM will be $29 (free if you bought the old version
- recently).
