- Nope. Neither Trident or IBM (or Microsoft) can do DOS Window 16 color
- graphics in an OS/2 256 color desktop! This is due to VGA hardware
- different between 16 color and 256 color mode. Also, IBM provides
- limited 256 color SVGA support no allowing VSVGA.SYS to cope with
- 256 color DOS graphics in OS/2 256 color desktop. However, IBM only
- allows mode 13h (256 color) runs under 640x480 16 color standard VGA
- mode. So the conclusion is under current OS/2 2.0, if you use ANY
- 256 color driver, do not expect you are able to run 16 color graphics
- in a DOS window. In the future, 256 color graphics may be allowed to
- run, but there might be a color problem (DAC access).
- It is almost impossible to (use software) emulate 16 color graphics
- if current hardware has to remain in 256 color mode!
