- Well, before anyone's mail got to me, I, out of luck, ran CHKDSK from OS/2.
- Mind you, I had run CHKDSK from DOS and also I had run Norton Disk Doctor
- from DOS as well and they gave the HD a clean bill of health. Well, the
- OS/2 CHKDSK reported extended attribute problems (even though I had removed
- ALL of the OS/2 directories before re-installing). Well, it fixed those up
- and then the install program worked fine.
-
- So, then, IBM called this morning asking what my problem was that I called
- them about yesterday about. I told the guy about the EA problem and he said
- that they've had a good number of calls from people with the same problem,
- but they techs could never figure out what was causing it. He said he was
- going to put the thing I tried in the "PRV" or some name like that.
-
- Gee, I feel so special. :-)
