- I used to have lots of time to play around with my new programs.
- When I first got windows i moded that thing until no one, sometimes
- not even me, recognized it. But now I actually (gasp) work and don't
- have time to spend hours hacking through my programs (I'm too busy
- writting new ones). So when I got os/2 I didn't have time to mod,
- tweak, change, and kick the tires. I wanted to install it and start
- running, but no such luck. The question I have for everyone reading
- this post is:How much trouble have you had with os/2? My own
- problems including:Having applications sit in my print queue
- refusing to print (even though the printer is on and connected
- correctly). Having the entire system freeze up (the mouse still
- works but after an hour (and repeated ctrl-esc attempts) the system
- REFUSES to allow me to do ANYTHING. Lost disk drive, the system, for
- some reason, couldn't find my d drive (which is a virtual drive
- whose 'E' section is where os/2 boots) and gave me 'this application
- is not responding do you wish to kill' I repeatedly said yes with
- the pop up disapearing, nothing happening and then it appeared
- again. This type of freezing is MUCH rarer than windows, but never
- the less I can expect SOME type of problem at least once a day. Am I
- alone? I'm trying to determine if I'm doing something wrong or if
- others are also experiencing various problems of a similar sort.
- Thank you for your time,
- The Jester
