- The .emacs file can be placed in any directory. The directory should
- be pointed to by the HOME environment variable, just like under Unix.
- I created a directory D:\HOME, and placed it there. I then added a
- "SET HOME=D:\HOME" to my CONFIG.SYS file.

- Just for those who don't know, the .emacs file is an emacs-lisp
- program which is run automatically upon the startup of the emacs
- program.
