  12. I received a ET4000 card by ColorView today. The following is an extract
  13. from its README file date June 18, 1992. Is this a sign of interest in 
  14. supporting OS/2 drivers for ET4000?

  19. As a VGA Card the ColorView offers top-the-line performance.
  20.  
  21. Also included with the card is the IBM 8514 Emulation Driver (RIXA18).  This
  22. is a Software Emulator and  as such does not perform the full range of capabi-
  23. lities a Hardware Emulator might.  The Software Emulator has been tested with
  24. serveral various software programs.  In spite of fact, we assume no responsibility
  25. for any lack of compatability to any program requiring or offering an IBM-8514
  26. Mode.

  28. The ColorView VGA Card is based on the TsengLabs ET4000 Chip, which unlike
  29. other VGA cards offers a real 16-bit Graphic-Controller.

  31. We strongly recommend that before installing any software packages the corresponding
  32. sub-directories be copied on to a separate disk.
