- All the binaries on the 0.96 root disk were compiled with GCC 2.2.2,
- so they do use the 'new' readdir() function, which has actually been
- around since GCC 2.1.something, or earlier.

- You can expect to see a 0.97 root disk very shortly after Linus
- releases the 0.97 kernel. There will not be any major changes, but it
- will fix all known 'bugs' from 0.96, and have a bunch of minor
- changes/additions/etc.
