- I had the same problems of timeouts as well, using a 200mb maxtor drive
- and ami (date?) bios. The problem only appeared when I used the 4th
- partition also. So I repartitioned the disk so the 4th was dos and I
- haven't had timeouts since. this is with .96c

- I did get strange results recently when doing mtools stuff, so linux
- must just not be good with the end of the disk. (the mtools problem has
- been inconsistent)
