- I have the same problem; it's not just twm however.
- Running `xsetroot -solid <colour>` doesn't work either and various
- other small applications provided in xextra refuse to work. The
- applications are running Ok (`top` indicates that they are running),
- they just aren't doing anything, and they don't return/complete.
-
- My machine is also a 386DX/16, with 8MB RAM and PVGA1B svga card, and
- I'm also running 0.96c-pl2 compiled w/ gcc2.2.2c and X11v1.1 from banjo.
- However, my machine has a buggy 386 --- it causes linux to print
- `bogus put no page` error frequently (this is easily fixed by
- commenting out the offending error message in mm/memory.c; the
- error can, apparently, be safely ignored). Maybe this has something to
- do with the problem?
-
- Alternatively, since I installed 0.96c from the MCC distribution, maybe
- there is something wrong with the non-X shared libs included with it?
-
- This is a problem which should be rectified A.S.A.F.P., since I haven't
- been able to use X properly since upgrading my compiler to 2.2.2c.
