- Hi, All again!
-
- I am running kernal 96c, and can get my modem (on /dev/ttys0) to respond
- from the command line with:
-
- echo -n "ATDT5552222\r"
-
- so I know it's at least working. Kermit, however, as well as Pcomm,
- will not recognize the thing. In kermit, I issued:
-
- set line /dev/ttys0
- set speed 9600
- set modem hayes
- dial 5552222 and nothing happened
-
- In Pcomm:
-
- Went to setup screen and entered modem as:
- /dev/ttys0 HAYES 9600
- Exitted Pcomm and started again
-
- What might I be overlooking?
-
- Thanks a zillion to anyone who can help me...
- (Thanks to everyone who helped me to at least get the "echo" above
- working!
-
