- Last Friday I downloaded the sources and patches, and compiled the Linux
- 0.96c pl2 kernel! Oddly, there were a couple warnings... but she still
- compiled. So now my kernel recognizes my MicroSoft bus mouse...
-
- Unfortunately though, X386 *still* won't work.
-
- I have the xbase binaries, located properly. I've been supplied with a
- working Xconfig'uration for my Paradise video card, and I changed its
- mouse spec's to:
-
- BusMouse "/dev/mouse"
- Emulate3Buttons
-
- (Of course, I also mknod'd /dev/mouse in the prescribed manner...)
-
- I've followed all the INSTALLation instructions that came with the
- xbase binaries... but when I type "startx" it works only as far as
- the point where you're supposed to press the mouse button. Nothing
- moves when I move my mouse, and there's no reaction to pressing the
- button... (and yes, I waited a bit like the INSTALL notes said.)
-
- Does anyone have any idea what I might be missing?
