  13. I'm working with Linux 0.96a and X for several weeks, great system :-)

  15. today I tried to install 0.96c form <wowbagger.pc-labor.uni-bremen.de>
  16.  
  17. Booting 0.96c works fine :-)
  18. Installing GCC-2.2.2 works fine :-)
  19. Compiling 0.96c works fine :-)

  21. Now I tried to run X, but now I have a jumping mouse :-(

  25. So I installed X11/v1.1, hoping that my logi stops jumping, but now
  26. if I type startx I only get a black screen :-(

  28. So I made a one night stand of downpatching to 0.96a+Socketpatch, and now
  29. I have my a already running 0.96a+ with X11/v1.0 back :-)

  31. But can somebody tell me what can be wrong :-)

  34.       as usual "Mousesystems" ?

  39. PS : Oh yes i tried out "Mousesystems", "Microsoft", and "Logitech" in
  40.      Xconfig. And I have <less> all the FAQ's :-)
