  11. Um, it seems that AT&T may have decided to get touchy about use of the word
  12. "Unix" without hanging a (tm) and so on after the word.  Check comp.os.386bsd
  13. for the gorey details on this.  At any rate, comp.unix.anything may very
  14. well be an invitation to problems should AT&T decide to contest the use.

  16. While the above may seem a triffle silly or extreme, I should point out that
  17. my wife practices trademark law.  As I know from discussing trademark law
  18. with her, this sort of defense of a name is not unreasonable.  In fact, AT&T
  19. is obliged to protect its names if it hopes to retain the trademark.
