- I have been reminded that I should add a caveat to what I just posted.
- AT&T has not been too vigourous, particularly of late, of protecting
- the trade secret status they originally declared for Unix, and many
- fact about how to write a Unix are available unprotected today.

- This is CSRG's best defence, I am guessing, but these points of law should
- be left to the IP lawyers. Of course CSRG hasn't yet been sued. By suing
- BSDI they're going after a relatively small fish and scaring away the
- other fish, even though if any trade secret violation was done, it was
- done by UCB. Whether any was done depends on a court.
