- Hello Folks,
-
- One of my textbooks contains many interesting footnotes which
- describe the history of computer science, particularly the
- etymology of a great deal of jargon.
-
- It does not however give the etymology of the word "bang", which is
- often used to mean the exclamation point symbol "!".
-
- Does anybody out there know who coined this term and for what reason
- they did so?
-
- Thanks,
-
- John Rauser
