- The Hayes V-series 9600 uses a non-standard protocol for 9600 baud
- connections and so is incompatible with the standard V.32 protocol. It
- does support V.22, though (2400 baud), so it falls back to that. See if
- you can get a Hayes Ultra 9600 at work; it will talk V.32 as well as
- Hayes' own protocol (X.32, I believe). Even better (if you can afford it)
- dump all the Hayes equipment and go with something more standard.
