  21. There is a new Talking Moose that works w/ System 7, and its speech
  22. synthesizer is really very good.  The rumor I heard (not reliable) is
  23. that the Talking Moose developers obtained a prerelease version of a
  24. new MacInTalk.  It occurred to us that maybe it would be possible for a
  25. research institution such as ourselves (or you) to get access to a
  26. prerelease MacInTalk with hooks for MCL, or maybe the Talking Moose
  27. people would be willing to tell us how to send Apple Events or
  28. something....

  32. Anyway, we never followed up on it, probably because we thought the
  33. chances were dim of anything working out, but we sure are interested.
