  19.     I have recently switched to the OS/2 operating system (as have many others
  20.     in my laboratory) on an IBM PC compatible. I had been using Meridian
  21.     OpenAda 386 under DOS, but it won't run in a DOS window under OS/2 because,
  22.     apparently, it uses a VCPI extender to access the protected mode of the 386
  23.     while compiling. I called Meridian, and was told that they have no plans
  24.     to upgrade to a DPMI compliant extender (which does run under OS/2), but
  25.     that they are considering possibly developing an OS/2 native version.

  27. Meridian certainly has plans to upgrade to a DPMI compliant extender in
  28. the very near future. I should keep our sales force from spreading such 
  29. rumors.

  31.     Does anyone know of any other protected mode Ada compiler (for large programs)
  32.     that will run under OS/2?
