- I'd recommend against this. The compressed tar'd XV distribution
- takes up almost 2MB. Shoveling this amount of data to *every* Usenet
- site that carries either comp.graphics or alt.graphics.pixutils would
- be a waste of bandwidth, to say the least. Worse, there will likely
- be requests for reposts for missing parts (possibly because local news
- spools overflowed) -- haven't encountered a large posting that wasn't
- accompanied by a dozen of those...

- There's a better alternative for those of you without ftp: DEC offers
- an FTP-by-mail service which may be listed in the FAQ (I haven't
- looked at it recently). In case it isn't, send mail containing the
