- It's not very surprising that this Eugene guy didn't know
- about this bug. When I called PPI about two months ago to ask
- about this test the customer support told me that it's a bug.
- Later on I found out that it is not a bug, the command was
- simply not implemented in the PM14400FXSA (I guess they just
- copy that part of the manual from a Hayes Ultra/Optima's manual).
- At that time PPI's support people on Compuserve had already
- written a small utility to do this cable testing function.
- I forget the name of the file, but it's available on PPI's
- forum on CIS. This file was not even available at PPI's own
- bbs and the guys who maintain the bbs didn't know a thing
- about the program. Perhaps there are several Practical
- Peripherals, Inc's out there.
