  25. I'm using one now..can't really give a thorough summary yet as
  26. it's too early. I've had it connect to 2 other modems at 14.4
  27. and got over 1600 cps. On the other hand, I *did* experience
  28. a bug that wouldn't allow it to negotiate a proper handshake
  29. with a Digitan High-Q 2400 Fax/modem, but was able to correct
  30. that by adding ATS37=6 (forces 2400 connect) and N0 (turns autobaud
  31. detection off). I call it a "bug", but it's more likely user
  32. inexperience :-)

  34. I had a HECK of a time getting this modem to work on COM2..it
  35. refused to do so with my system. It works just fine on COM4. I
  36. run a point (1:363/81.1) off of a BBS and use the modem under
  37. FD 2.02..had no problems so far. On connecting with HST..hmm
  38. the modem will connect at high baud rate (9600 +) but it will
  39. only d/l at 2400..can't figure that one out unless it's because
  40. of the HST "standards" OR the BBS that I called has it configured
  41. in a wierd way.

  44. when I've talked with them. I have some text that I d/l from the
  45. Lightning BBS (714) 457-9429 that I could post if you're 
  46. interested.
