  23. That's probably it.  After I called, someone in this group mentioned that
  24. a finished, non-beta version of the EPROM will be out in a few weeks.
  25. My guess is that PPI simply doesn't want to distribute a beta at this
  26. late date.  But they *will* give it to you if you're persistent enough.

  28. I think it also could simply be a matter of compartmentalization.  The
  29. guys who answer the phones in Tech Support simply might not know that
  30. the EPROM programmers have a new chip ready.
