  21. quite a few months ago.  I can easily imagine that the non-interfering
  22. (read undetected) `tapping' of optical link networks, themselves would
  23. be rather difficult.  OTOH, other than contained, isolated, networks,
  24. I'd imagine that it would be possible to tap somewhere in the PSTN, on any
  25. connection, though with proper encryption methods, the gathering of in-
  26. telligible data would be quite difficult.

  32. find adequate sponsorship.  Such provisions WILL retard technology in this
  33. quarter of the world significantly, and would likely eliminate a lot of other-
  34. wise easy interconnectivity.
