  10. This modem of mine will frequently forget how to speak V.42bis or MNP.  When
  11. this happens, it will try and try to establish such a connection, but fall back
  12. to a normal connection anyway.  The only fix is to reset my computer, either
  13. with a hard reset or a power cycle.

  15. I run a BBS full-time, so I have had to disable V.42bis and MNP completely just
  16. to keep the BBS running.
