- A word of warning about the Intel SatisFAXtion 400 internal 14.4 fax
- modem -- not only does it have a number of annoying bugs, but it has a
- fairly serious flaw: Since the 400 has no non-volatile storage for
- firmware, the firmware must be downloaded each time the system is turned
- on. The problem is that Intel only provides a DOS downloader, with no
- plans to support NT or UNIX. The workaround for OS/2 is to download the
- firmware in a DOS boot session. In other words, the SatisFAXtion modem
- is a DOS-only modem!
