- Well, I do have a PC compatible as well. Mind you, it's a 4.77MHz
- 8088 machine. I think I stick with my Amiga for now :-). What function
- does an intelligent serial card perform? I can imagine the posibilities
- but I'd rather find out what exists before I comment. There are a surge of
- new serial/parallel cards for the Amiga. There have been no official
- announcements, only "I heard that..... and it will cost$xxx". The card I'm
- thinking of is made by a reputable "high-performance" company and lists for
- a lot more money than it should. Basically, it's uncharacteristic of this
- company (GVP) to charge so much for what seems to be so little. It is
- possible that this is some sort of intelligent cards allowing ludicrous
- speed (haven't I seen that somewhere before? :-). One of these days
- (years?) I'll get myself a UNIX box. Really, I will.
-
- As for ethernet, what would I connect to? I'll wait for a 10Mbps
- modems with a BNC in the back and then I'll think about it :-). TCP/IP,
- don't count your chickens before they've hatched. You never know what I
- might do with a new v.32bis->v.fast modem....

- Cheers,
