- Does anyone currently sell a modem with a second control channel available?
- It might be useful to write a modem device driver such that you could have
- the operating system manage features like dialing out, and still let user
- level processes manage the data stream. It would be nice to address the
- potential market of sites supporting dial-in and dial-out with the same modems,
- and perhaps even add FAX and voicemail in there too, rather than just
- addressing the current market of large dial-in-only banks and dial-out
- systems based only on personal PCs where the user is held accountable by
- default for phone charges. -Steve
